Simply St. Paul's

St. Paul's Episcopal Church is located on the corner of Eaton and Duval in Key West. It seems a little bit out of place given the other businesses along the street but then again, "Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick".

The church has been destroyed and rebuilt a number of times due to fires and hurricanes and bad cement.

More information can be found at St. Paul's Key West website.

Simply Crossing The Road

Someone should ask the question. Why do they cross the road?

Simply Danger In A Mangrove

Under a canopy of mangroves with tour guide Amelia of Danger Charters fame.

I don't like to give away all the Key West secrets but the Danger Charter tours are an exceptional way to spend part of a day (or all day) on the waters off Key West. The crew on our boat this time were Evan, Dale and Amelia whom could not have been more friendly and informative.

One of the benefits of their tours is you also meet other travelers to Key West, get to hear their stories and suggestions of things to do and see, as well as potentially meet new friends.

This was our second tour with them and I highly recommend taking a tour with Danger Charters.

Simply Little Mermaid

Simply A Crossing

Sails crossing off Fort Zachary Taylor in Key West.

Fort Zachery has a little bit for all. It has a nice beach, although you will need water shoes to protect your feet from the rocks and coral. It also has plenty of shaded spots with picnic tables, grills and benches.

The grounds are impeccable with much of the local flora labelled to help answer those "what kind of tree or flower is that?" questions.

Simply Sloppy Joe's With Cardinals

The band Mojito was playing at Sloppy Joe's while the Cardinals were appearing on stage also on the television.

Simply Sweet Paradise

Our family rented a house in the Truman Annex for the week.

After weeks of snowstorms up north, this view out to the pool is truly "Sweet Paradise".

Simply The Little White House

While in Key West, consider taking a tour of the
Harry S. Truman Little White House.
It's a true piece of "Americana".

Simply the Tropical Inn

One of the most important decisions when visiting Key West is where to stay.
On future stays, we will not have to make that decision again!

The answer is simply.... The Tropical Inn!

From the moment I first contacted them, looking for a place to stay to celebrate our anniversary, Jane, Brandi, Blair and Allen went out of their way to make everything
"just right"!

The Tropical Inn is located right on Duval Street, making it close to so many Key West activities, yet once inside, you feel miles away from everything.
A virtual oasis!

For more information, check out their website at Tropical Inn Key West.

The following pictures are of the pool area at the Tropical Inn.
We spent many afternoons relaxing here.

For most of our stay, we were in the Conch Cottage.
It's a little small but a perfect little oasis.

On our last day, we moved to the Tuckaway Cottage.
Can obviously see needing to spend more time here!

To Jane, Allen, Brandi and Blair, thank you so much!
We will be back!

C'mon Gloucester.
What a money maker if we did this at Good Harbor.
